Buying FAQs

All prices and descriptions are subject to change without notice.

Pictures of items are generic and might not match exactly. Refer to the written description of the item. Specifications given are from the manufacturers and suppliers and we reserve the right to modify our information provided herein.

Prices are rarely incorrect but we retain the right to refuse any transaction pending the correction of pricing. Prices for items not in stock at time of order are subject to price change prior to delivery.

You, the buyer, are responsible for knowing and abiding to state and/or local laws/restrictions prohibiting the possession/ownership of any item purchased from Black Widow Arms, LLC.

We will not ship firearms directly to you. They will be sent to your local FFL (Federal Firearms License) Dealer, who will then perform any background checks and paperwork required in your state/locality. We do not ship firearms to non-FFL holders. This is federal law. It is your responsibility to contact the FFL Dealer to make sure of their policies, procedures, and any applicable fees they might charge.

Nearly all dealers will accept a transfer for you. They will perform all the required background checks and paperwork for your area, and charge a transfer fee of around $25.00 - $50.00. If we already have your dealer's license (FFL) on file, there is no need to resend it with each order.

Your dealer's signed FFL license can be emailed to blackwidow@ntelos.net.

It is important to make sure that your name or order number is with the dealer's license so that we know to apply it to your order.

How to Buy a Pistol, Rifle or Shotgun

Federal firearms laws prevent the sale of a weapon from a licensed dealer directly to an individual in another state. We must ship your firearm directly to an FFL Dealer near you. 

    1. Order your firearm online using our secure shopping cart. If you know the dealer you are going to use at time of order placement (not a requirement) enter his name into the 'Ship To' field. Otherwise, find a dealer near you that will accept the transfer of the firearm for you. Most sporting goods stores and pawn shops will provide this service for a small fee. If you don't know which dealer to use in your area, put a comment in your order and we will help you locate one near you. Most dealers charge around $25-$35 for a transfer. You must confirm the transfer with your local dealer in advance.
    2. Have the dealer get us a copy of his signed license. We can accept a faxed or e-mailed copy of your dealers license.
    3. Make sure the dealer knows the firearm is coming from us.
    4. We will send you an email when the firearm ships, which will include a tracking number.

    How to Order Ammunition

    When ordering ammunition, you will need to complete the ammunition release form.  This signed document must be sent to Black Widow with a readable copy of your driver's license/state issued ID, to verify your age and address.

      Age Restrictions on Firearms and Ammunition

      You must be 21 years of age to purchase a handgun or shotgun with a pistol grip. You must be at least 18 years of age to purchase a rifle or standard shotgun (without a pistol grip.) 

      You must be 21 years of age to purchase ammunition to be used in a handgun. You must be 18 years of age to purchase ammunition to be used in a rifle.

      Forms of Payment

      Credit Card:  You can order your product online using our secure server. We accept Visa, MasterCard, and American Express. All products must include the billing address on the credit card. All transactions are authorized for the full amount at time the order is placed. Please contact your financial provider for more information regarding Authorizations.

      Checks or Money Order : You can place an online order, and choose Personal check or money order as the payment option. We do not accept electronic check transfers (E-Check). Once your check is received and has cleared the bank, (14 days for personal check, 2 days for money orders) your product will be shipped. Send your check or money or to:

      Layaway

      Orders placed for Layaway, MUST email or call 540-849-5087, Mon-Fri, 9am to 5pm, Eastern time.  New customers will need to setup an online account including their name, address, email and phone. A 20% deposit of the total cost of the item(s), including tax and background check if applicable, is required to initiate the Layaway.  Payments (check, bank check, money order or credit card) can be made anytime via phone/email (credit card), mail or in person.

       

      • Minimums - Individual items must be $50 or greater, and total purchases must equal $100 or more. 
      • Terms - Layaway is 90 days (3 months). Final payment must be made on or before the 90th day, otherwise the account will be canceled. 
      • Cancellation - If your Layaway account is canceled for any reason, item(s) will be returned to inventory and payments will be refunded less a 25% restocking fee.
      • Returns - There are no returns on firearms.

      Order Changes and Cancellations

      Cancellations: Orders can only be changed or cancelled if the item has not shipped.

      Please contact us for order changes.

      All firearm purchases are final once the firearm is picked up from your dealer.  We do have a warranty on all new guns we sell. See Our Gun Warranty section for more information. Please refer to the following page for more information:  Return Policy.
       

      Price Changes

      All prices are subject to change without notice. However, we will contact you if prices change, before we ship. This applies to all items, including special orders and backorders. Due to the special nature of some items, exact prices are not known until delivery is made to us.

      We reserve all rights of final pricing.

      Many items with a long lead time may change in price over time, there is no guarantee that we will be able to ship at the ordered price if the manufacturer changes the price to us, although we do strive to keep your price the same. 

      Order Errors

      If a product is not the product that you ordered, we will either replace the product or give you a full refund if returned within 10 days of receipt.  

      Shipping and Handling

      Please also note that some items are unique, or hard to obtain.  We reserve the right to cancel your order should an item not be available to ship.

      We normally will ship FedEx and US POSTAL. If you need faster shipment, we can ship 2nd Day or Next Day for an extra charge.

      Alaska and Hawaii residents - your order MUST ship 2nd day or faster. Most orders over $100 value will ship with a signature-required to ensure they make it to you. Products that have free shipping only applies to the lower 48 states.

      California Shipments

      In order to properly process your transactions we will need a valid FFL number as well as a 5-digit CFLC (California Firearms Licensee Check) number. You can call one of your local gun dealers if you have any questions about FFL or CFLC numbers. Please have this information available at the time of purchase in order to expedite the process.
