Our Basic Liberty rifle personifies exactly that, your basic fundamental right to keep and bear arms.
100% American made and chambered in 5.56, it has the classic "AR" look, sporting clamshell hand-guards lined with heat-shields. Heat-shields are a must for high volume shooting of any AR with a gas impingement system, as we have seen gas tubes glow red hot from mag dumps and barrels hot enough to fry bacon (which of course we have done). Our barrels are made from 4150V steel with a government profile and a carbine length gas system. It joins with an upper receiver made from 7075 Billet Aluminum with Black Anodized Mil-Spec finish.
The upper is mated with a high-strength 7075 T6 aluminum forged lower receiver for reliable performance and outstanding durability. Mil-Spec, hard anodized finish adds extra strength to the receiver walls and delivers superior abrasion-resistance for rugged field use. The lower parts we use set the standard when it come to out-of-the-box Mil-Spec performance. At the heart of lower is a longitudinally-ground trigger, which is ground in-line with the direction of pull along the long axis of the trigger, and then finish-polished. This grind and polish provide two significant advantages over standard Mil-Spec parts:
- Smoother pull with reduced grittiness
- Enhanced basis for performing a trigger job
Our Mil-Spec stock systems are Magpul, fully adjustable with non-slip rubber butt pad and sling mounting loop.
Our M16 style bolt carrier uses 8620 steel, 9310 for the bolt. The gas key, cam pin and extractor are machined from solid 4140 bar stock. Our firing pins are stainless steel. All American made.
